Description:
Do you have a child (age 5 to 12 years) who needs to practice reading aloud in a comfortable environment? Bring your child and a short book (something your child is comfortable reading already!) to practice reading with Grace, the Golden Retriever on Saturday, November 10th.

Grace is a certified therapy dog and an encouraging listener! Her handler is Dr. Zenny Ng, a veterinarian in an advanced master’s program in human animal bond studies at the vet school at Virginia Tech. They are a dynamic duo and together will encourage your child’s reading skills and boost reading confidence!

Reserve a 10 minute reading slot for your child by calling Elizabeth at (540) 552-8246 ext. 109 or email at esensabaugh@mfrl.org.

Parents and children can also stop in during the time of Grace’s visit to learn if any reading slots are available!
