Description:
Join the Blacksburg Price House Nature Center on Saturday, November 10th for a special program entitled "Rodents - the mammals that need to gnaw".
Did you know that rodents are the most common and diverse mammals? Join us as we explore rodent museum specimens, skulls, and check out some living rodents to learn about their habits and behavior - and why they sometimes can be problems for people. We will also answer the question "Do mice really like cheese?" and make our own paper mice."
Our Volunteers from VT Biological Sciences, VT College of Natural Resources, and VT Service Learners will be on hand to help you play and learn about hibernation, fall migration, color changes, and other autumnal changes using our exhibits, the grounds, and our storybook library.
Limited parking is available in the Nature Center Driveway, on Wharton Street, and within two short blocks on Clay Street at spout spring parking strip and along Church Street in the public parking lot.
Admission is free, donations are welcome.
