Wombat Wash Diaper Service will be host to the Blacksburg, Virginia site of an international cloth diaper changing event taking place on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Kent Square in downtown Blacksburg, two days before Earth Day.

In addition to the Great Cloth Diaper Change world-recording setting activity; there will also be various event booths with The Sleepytime Teacher, Full Bloom Birth, Happy Buns Diapers, Macaroni Kid NRV, Baby Signs – Roanoke, and many others. Don’t have a cloth diaper, don’t worry. Wombat Wash will provide cloth diapers for those who wish to participate and don’t have a cloth diaper.

Registration is still underway for the current year’s event; however, the Great Cloth Diaper Change event will attempt to break last year’s Guinness World Record™ of 8,251 cloth diapers changed simultaneously.

Wombat Wash is a locally owned and operated diaper service providing cloth diapers without the laundry. Meaning: Wombat Wash provides diapers, delivers them directly to the families’ door, then picks up the dirties and washes them, all at prices comparable to disposables.

This is their second year sponsoring the Great Cloth Diaper Change in Salem, and the first time they and Blacksburg will play host to the event.

This event is part of a larger (and growing) movement to change the way parents think about diapering their babies. Participants may contribute $1 (or more) at any of the North American local event. The money will assist the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Real Diaper Association in their efforts to help families across the U.S. and Canada find and use reusable cloth diapers.

In its third year, The Great Cloth Diaper Change is an international initiative organized with the help of the nonprofit Real Diaper Association designed to show the world that cloth diapers are a real option for today’s families.
