Description:
622 North and Frank's Bar welcome Dank Sinatra to the stage on Saturday, April 27th. The music starts around 10 pm.
Formed in the spring of 2010, the Athens, Georgia based sextet, Dank Sinatra, has been making some noise around the Southeast over the past two and a half years. Blending countless different genres into a melting pot of music, Dank Sinatra’s sound is something that can only be described once it has been experienced. From their humble beginnings of their first show at Rye Bar in Athens, GA, the Dank train has been hitting the road ever since and bringing their unique sound to numerous cities throughout the Southeast and beyond, including a recent performance at the Wakarusa Music and Arts Festival.
Along the way Dank has shared the stage with many artists including Big Gigantic, Eliot Lipp, Alex B, Moon Taxi, Zoogma, The Heavy Pets, and The Mantras. The band is continuously pushing themselves to create a unique sound and defy any genre descriptions that people place on them. As bass player Clint Meadows says, ‘We’re not going to worry about where this band will be in two-three years. We’re thinking about where this band is right now and what things we can do to improve and master the sound of Dank Sinatra for our fans and ourselves alike.’ The future seems bright as Dank Sinatra continues to grow and expand their sound and their fan base.
