The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley and the Draper Mercantile are partnering to host “The Celtibillies” on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Mercantile in Draper, Virginia.
The Celtibillies concerts are a rollicking mixture of traditional and original music and song interspersed with just the right amount of humor to keep audiences in stitches. The Celtibillies also celebrates the link between traditional music and dance by offering concerts featuring dancers who excel in Appalachian Clogging, Scottish Highland Dance and Irish Step Dance.

http://celtibillies.com/The cost of the performance is $12 per person for advance tickets. The performance starts at 7:00 PM and a special dinner menu is available beginning at 6:00 PM when doors open for an additional charge. A cash bar will also be available.
You can make reservations for the dinner and performance by calling 540-994-5659. Reservations are required and seating is only available for around 112, so reserve early.
Joining in the evening's festivities will be two highly accredited guests.
Victoria Cumbie is a 20 year old championship Irish Dancer trained by the Rince na h'Eireann School of Irish Dance under Sandra Connick. She has qualified to compete at the North American Championships 10 times during her 14 year dance career. She has also qualified to dance 7 times at the World Championships and has traveled to Ireland and Scotland to participate in these competitions.
Jen Barton is a traditional dance performer from Blacksburg in Montgomery County Virginia where a vibrant local dance community has been present for many years. Jen is skilled in numerous traditional dance styles. She possesses a very relaxed and free flowing style of flatfoot dancing, with footwork that is a joy to watch. In addition to performing, Jen is a sought after teacher for dances, workshops and classes in traditional dance.
The event is partially funded by the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
