The Jacksonville Center for the Arts offers their Cartooning for Youth Series class with instructor Micah Accord meeting every Tuesday from August 6-27 from 4-6 pm.

Class Description:
Zap! Pow! Shazam! Do you enjoy reading comics? In this class we’ll develop our own styles and stories, learn to create unique characters and their worlds and some techniques to bring them to life on paper. We’ll also be taking a look at the history of visual storytelling, different styles of comic art (anime, graphic novels, comic strips, and super heroes to name a few) and what makes for excellent storytelling both through drawing and writing. By the end of the session you will create your very own comic.

Minimum Enrollment, 3: Maximum Enrollment, 12
Minimum Age: 10
