Description:
The Town of Blacksburg continues the 2013 Market Square Jam series with host band Sam Linkous and Friends on Wednesday, June 19th.

Sam Linkous is a bluegrass musician from Blacksburg. Join him and his friends as they host the Market Square Jam and entertain.

Market Square Jam is a weekly jam session that takes place in the warmer months on Wednesday evenings from 8-11 pm at the site of the Farmers Market on the corner of Draper Road and Roanoke Street.

The Jam, catering to traditional old time and bluegrass music, brings musicians together to pick a tune, enjoy some fun times with their friends and family, and take in all that downtown Blacksburg has to offer.

If you’re a musician or just interested in learning, come on out to the Market Square Jam and play along. Or, if you’re just looking for some great music and a place to kick back on a Wednesday night, bring a chair, bring a blanket, and join us at the park.

Note: Aside from bench seating available in the park, additional seating is not provided. Musicians and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs.
