The Christiansburg Public Library presents a Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday, June 15th and invited you to bring your tattered flags.

The United States Flag Code states, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem of display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.” If you are not able to attend, bring your tattered flag to the library prior to June 15.
