Description:
As part of the Annual Summer Solstice Fest, participate by either running or walking in the Downtown Sundown 5K ® on Saturday, June 22nd beginning at 8:30 pm.
The 5K course loops from downtown through Blacksburg on roads and paved footpaths. All miles will be marked. Water will be available.
Packet pick up and race day registration begins at 3 pm on Saturday, June 22nd. The registration table is located on the Alexander Black House Lawn on Draper Road. Race day registration for the event will close promptly at 7:15 pm. The race will begin on Draper Road near the music stage.

Top three male and female finishers will receive an award. The first male and female masters (40+) and grand masters (50+) will also receive an award.
Note: All runners must wear reflective, light colored shirt and carry a cyclume/glowstick
or LED light. The first 300 runners registered will receive a FREE LED light with clip in their race packet as well as a t-shirt. Glowsticks will be available for sale ($1.00) at the packet pick-up for those
without a light or glowstick.
No animals on the course during the race, headphones are discouraged and strollers/ baby joggers need to start at the back.
Part of the proceeds benefit the Blacksburg High School Cross Country and Track & Field programs.
