Downtown Christiansburg, Inc. presents a special showing of the film "Here Comes the Boom" starring Kevin James and rated PG on Friday, June 28th at the Downtown Park as part of their Get Down Downtown Summer Event Series.

Synopsis:
A high school biology teacher looks to become a successful mixed-martial arts fighter in an effort to raise money to prevent extra-curricular activities from being axed at his cash-strapped school.

Refreshments will be available from Benjamin’s Franks hot dog stand and music beforehand will be provided by DV Entertainment.

The Get Down Downtown is the first summer series presented by Downtown Christiansburg Inc., and will be held the fourth Friday of each month from June through September. This year’s series will feature two free movie nights in the park, an art walk, and an evening of live music.

The purpose of the Get Down Downtown series is to give citizens of Christiansburg and surrounding areas access to family-friendly events while bringing people back to the heart of the town.

Downtown Park is located on College Street next to the Armory in Christiansburg, Virginia.
