Ducks for the Race can be ‘adopted’ for $5 for one duck, $20 for five ducks (a quack pack) or $100 for thirty ducks (a flock of ducks). The ducks will ‘fly’ into the New River on Saturday, August 17th at 6 pm and the ducks will ‘race’ toward the finish line.
Ducks can be adopted at
http://radfordduckrace.webs.com/donate or at the Radford Visitor’s Center (600 Unruh Drive, inside the Glencoe Museum) Tuesday-Saturday 10 am - 4 pm or Sunday 1-4 pm.
Prizes are $500 for the first duck to cross the finish line, $250 for second place, $100 for third place and many other prizes will be awarded.
The Lucky Duck Race is sponsored by the Radford Noon Rotary and the Radford Visitor’s Center to support the Noon Rotary Scholarship Fund which is awarded annually to a Radford High School student who will be attending Radford University.
