Description:
Adaire Theatre brings Disney Channel's smash hit "High School Musical" to life on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 19-21 and 26-28 at the Pulaski County High School Little Theatre. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7 pm and Sunday performances at 3 pm.

School is out and summer is here, for most students, but not for the students of East High. Troy, the popular captain and star player of the basketball team and Gabriella, a shy, scholastically gifted member of the academic club, switch things up. They break all the rules of East High society when they secretly audition for the leads in the school’s musical. Threatening the schools social order, they inadvertently send their peers into an uproar.

In a desperate attempt to maintain the status quo, the jocks, briainiacs, and drama club superstars, Ryan and Sharpay, plot to keep the pair off the stage and back in their cliques. But, by defying expectations and taking a chance on their dreams, the couple inspires other students to go public with some surprising hidden talent of their own, teaching them acceptance, teamwork and being yourself.

“It’s an incredibly exciting production that features a cast of talented high school and college students from across the New River Valley,” said Kendall Payne, co-founder of Adaire Theatre.

Co-Founded by Kendall Payne and Megan Corsnitz, ADAIRE THEATRE is a newly founded theatre in the Southwest Virginia area. They began the theatre company last year with a vision of bringing quality entertainment to the New River Valley at an affordable price providing a positive outlet for young people to express themselves through theatre.
