Last month,“Dinner en Blanc” was held at Smithfield Plantation. Dinner en Blanc (Dinner in White) began in Paris, and basically is an event where diners dress in all white, pack their own meal, and are told only at the last minute the location of where they will be dining. Based on the success of the event, Smithfield Plantation will hold Picnique en Blanc on Sunday, August 11, 2013, from 5:00 until 8:00pm (there goes the suspense!).

Please join us for a casual picnic at Historic Smithfield Plantation! Pack a picnic, beverages, picnic blanket (or table and chairs), lawn games, etc. The Frosty Parrot will be on-site with their yogurt machine. Bring your friends - this event is open to the public. Attire is preferably “all-white”, but is not required – just come and have fun!

The cost is minimal: A donation of $5 per adult is suggested. All proceeds benefit Historic Smithfield Plantation. Merci!
