Friends of Israel at Virginia Tech offer Free Krav Maga (Self Defense) Classes every Wednesday starting Wednesday, February 8, 2017 through the end of the Spring Semester at the Multipurpose Room inside War Memorial Gym from 5:30-6:30 pm.

Have you ever wanted to learn self-defense? Enhance your martial arts repertoire? Or maybe just enjoy a sports activity on campus?

What is Krav Maga?

Krav Maga is a self-defense system developed for the military in Israel that consists of a wide combination of techniques sourced from Aikido, Judo, boxing and wrestling along with realistic fight training. Krav Maga is known for its focus on real-world situations and is extremely efficient in counter-attack. Friends of Israel’s Krav Maga Club, along with the class itself, will feature 5 minute discussions on subjects like IDF, Israel security, recent operations and history as well as Krav Maga philosophies.
