The Community Foundation of the New River Valley presents the Fund for the NRV Kickoff Event on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the second floor lobby of Kent Square in downtown Blacksburg, VA.

Help us support the Fund for the NRV and kick off the 4th Annual GiveBigNRV Giving Day. Enjoy free food from Avellino's, wine & beer donated from Vintage Cellar, and door prizes donated from Annie Kay's & Imaginations, and more!

The National Bank has generously agreed to match up to $10,000 raised for the Fund for the NRV through GiveBigNRV! Be ready to make a contribution online that evening for The Fund for the NRV so we can secure the NBB match!

Admission is free and donations are greatly appreciated. No RSVP required.

The Community Foundation of the New River Valley (CFNRV) connects people who want to give back to our region with the organizations that make the NRV a great place to live, work, and play.

GiveBigNRV is a website designed to encourage charitable giving in the New River Valley and to promote the dozens of nonprofit organizations serving our region. Although the GiveBigNRV site is active year-round, we encourage charitable giving by hosting an online giving day each April. For a full 24 hours, donors are encouraged to give a minimum of $10.00 to the organization or fund of their choice.

CFNRV broadly promotes the giving day, and individual nonprofit organizations are responsible for promoting their particular profile pages. To incentivize this, the CFNRV offers grants and prizes to organizations on the giving day based on the amount of money they raise, the number of unique donors to their page, and more. The 4th Annual GiveBigNRV Giving Day will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
