Pearisburg Public Library presents Open Mic Story Time to Celebrate National Children's Book Week on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
Kids and kids-at-heart are invited to read their favorite children’s book, or suggest titles to be read aloud.
Light refreshments and small activities will be provided.
Younger children may also sign up for the 1,000 Books before Kindergarten program, which helps to foster a love of reading from a young age.
National Children’s Book Week celebrates books for young people and the joy of reading. This year’s theme is “One World, Many Stories.”
