New River Valley Fairgrounds hosts the 2017 New River Valley Horse Show starting on Thursday, May 25, 2017 through Saturday, May 27, 2017.
The New River Valley Horse Show is features classes for American Saddlebreds, Hackneys, Arabians, Hackney Ponies, Miniature Horses, Quarter Horses, Standardbreds and timed events.

• 25. ($15) ASB Juvenile Show Pleasure
• 26. ($20) ASB Amateur 3-Gaited Park Championship
• 27. ($15) Roadster Pony Under Saddle
• 28. ($20) ASB Junior Three-Gaited Park Championship
• 29. ($20) ASB Country Pleasure Driving Championship
• 30. ($15) ASB Amateur/Juvenile Three-Gaited
• 31. ($20) ASB Hunter Country Pleasure Championship
• 32. ($20) Trotting-Type Country Pleasure Championship
• 33. ($15) ASB Adult Show Pleasure
• + 34. ($25) Amateur Roadster Pony Championship (52” & Under)
• 35. ($20) ASB Juvenile Three-Gaited Park Championship
• 36. ($20) Open Pleasure Driving Horse or Pony Championship
• 37. ($15) ASB Show Pleasure Driving
• 38. ($15) Open English Pleasure
• 39. ($15) ASB Adult Country Pleasure
• 40. ($20) Open Walk/Trot 12 & Under Championship
• 41. ($5) Lead Line – Held during intermission between performance classes and timed events

• Exhibition Barrels
• Pee Wee Barrels
• Youth Barrels
• Open 3-D Barrels
• Open Poles
Admission is free for all sessions.
The New River Valley Horse Show is a qualifying competition for the Kentucky State Fair and American Saddlebred Horse Association (AHSA) High Point Awards.
