Description:
The Newport Community Center presents an Open House on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

A pig roast lunch, including sides, drinks and dessert, will be available while supplies last for a suggested donation of $8.00. Activities for the day include an art show put on by LoCo Arts, a silent auction through the Mayapple School, artisan demonstrations, music by local musicians, and community tables to share information about resources and programs.

The Newport Rescue Squad will offer glucose and blood pressure checks and we'll have our community tables in the hall.

Don’t miss the Newport Library’s story time at 11 am with Stella the therapy dog! The Library will also hold a fill a bag book sale for $3.00 a bag.

Kids will enjoy the Farm Experience by Rolling Hills Farm and the Newport Fire Department trucks. The Newport Barnstormers softball team encourages kids to join in their practice or sign up to join their team. Finally, at 3 pm, a series of short plays by Blue Ridge Center Stage will take place in the auditorium.

Admission is free.
