Description:
The Radford Noon Rotary and the Radford Visitor's Center present the 6th Annual Radford Lucky Duck Race on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Bisset Park.

The ducks will fly into the New River at 6:00 pm. You’ll want to get a good seat along the banks of the river near the gazebo in Bisset Park and cheer your duck(s) on to the official Motor Mile Speedway finish line.

The fastest duck will win $1,000.00, second place is $500.00 and third place wins $250.00. There will also be a special "lame duck" prize for the slowest duck and other prizes as well.

The Lucky Duck Race will be held during the "Saturday in the Park" Super Cruise-In, a day full of family fun with classic cars and trucks, music, food and children’s activities. Spectator admission is free of charge. Vehicle entries are $5.00.

Proceeds from the event will help support the Noon Rotary Community Outreach Programs. The Radford Noon Rotary works each year to be able to support a number of community groups including the Radford Animal Shelter, the Women’s Resource Center, Beans and Rice and a scholarship fund which helps a Radford High student attend Radford University.

Duck tickets are $5.00 for one duck, $20.00 for a "quack pack" of 5 ducks or $100.00 for a "flock" of thirty ducks.

Ducks are available for purpose at the Radford Visitor’s Center inside the Glencoe Museum located at 600 Unruh Drive in Radford, VA, online or the day of the event from 3:00-5:30 PM.
