Renew the New and the New River Valley Regional Commission present ReNew the New Giles on Saturday, August 26, 2017 starting at Giles County High School.

Clean-up the Giles County section of the New River. Clean-up starts at 8:00 am with both a river and land crew with volunteers meeting at Giles County High School. Seats are limited on the river crew so reserve your spot soon.

Join us for our "Fall Into the New" New River Cleanup. This year you can register to join one of four clean up efforts: Giles, Radford, Montgomery or Floyd.

ReNew sponsors two annual river clean-ups. In the spring is “Ramps ‘n’ Roads” and in the fall, “Fall Into the New”. Anyone interested in protecting and renewing the beautiful New River is welcome to join in.

This dedicated group focuses on stewardship of the 37 Giles miles of the New River and includes the following: New River’s Edge, New River Outdoor Company and Tangent Outfitters; DGIF, DCR, National Committee for The New River, Giles Sheriff’s Department, Army Corps of Engineers, and Giles County personnel; as well as private citizens committed to the preservation and renewal of the historic New River.
