Description:
Blacksburg Swing Dance holds a lesson and dance every Friday night at the YMCA at Virginia Tech's Event Room.
Schedule:
• 7:15 pm: Intermediate Dance Lesson
• 7:45 pm: Beginner Dance Lesson
• 8:30 pm: Dancing
It's time again for our annual Halloween Dance! As always there will be spooky music and tasty treats, as well as a couple of competitions!
The costume contest that will be open to anyone in costume who wants to participate. Judging will be by audience applause, so dress to impress.
We will also be having a J&J Competition, which will judge people randomly based on their ability to social dance. This is open to anyone, but please sign up in advance so that we can ensure even pairing. Our dances have a friendly atmosphere, great for meeting other dancers and learning to dance. All are welcome and no partner is necessary.
Costumes are encouraged, but not required. You may want to bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated since the dance room does get hot.
Lessons start at 7:15 pm, please be on time. Dances follow immediately after the lesson at 8:30 pm.
There's a Blacksburg Transit stop right in front of the YMCA at Virginia Tech for those who need transportation.
