The Pearisburg Merchants Association welcomes one and all to the 3rd Annual Scarecrow Festival in downtown Pearisburg, VA happening on Wenonah Avenue and Tazewell Streets on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
Featuring a variety of vendors, food, live music, dance recitals, a Children's Parade courtesy of the Pearisburg Junior Woman's Club, classic car cruise in, motorcycle cruise in and much more mingled alongside custom scarecrows made by local businesses and organizations.
There will also be a Children's Scavenger Hunt with 12 Scavenger Hunt Passport stops. Stops will be at the Pearisburg Community Center and at the Scarecrow Festival. Children completing all stops will be entered for a grand prize drawing! Children will be given prizes for visiting each Passport stop. Passports will be available at both locations.
In addition, the 2017 Touch A Truck & Children's Agriculture Day will be held from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm at the Pearisburg Community Market. For more information, visit: http://www.nextthreedays.com/FeaturedEventDetails.cfm?E=448021.
Gearhead Moto Tours will also be hosting a downtown social with live music beginning at 5:00 pm with Ride'n Shotgun Band performing and a beer garden sponsored by the Giles Rotary Club for their Pints for Polio fundraising efforts.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
