RunAbout Sports presents the 2017 Brush Mountain Breakdown Trail Race which is part of the RunAbout Race Series featuring a 12 Miler, 7 Miler and 5K races on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Pandapas Park in Blacksburg, VA.

Event Schedule:
• 10:30 am: Race Day Packet Pickup
• 11:30 am: 5K Fun Run begins
• 12:00 pm: 12 Miler & 7 Miler starts
• ~4:30 pm: Awards and Raffle

The 12 miler, 7 miler and 5K fun run are all on trails inside Pandapas Park which is part of the Jefferson National Forest. The run features a challenging course with many hills and some creek crossings (water less than knee deep). There are rest stations with energy gels, bars, water and Gatorade drink.

All the Brush Mountain races are on trails and very limited sections of forest fire roads. The trails cross creeks and offer a good challenge with hills. The trails are well used and are in the scenic Jefferson National Forest.

The 12 Miler is $35.00 per person, the 7 Miler is $30.00 and 5K is $22.00.

There will be four aid stations for the 12 miler and one for the 7 miler trail run. The aid stations will have water, Gatorade, energy gels and bars. The aid stations are about every 5 kilometers.

All 12 miler participants will receive a technical long sleeve shirt. Participants must finish within the FOUR hour time. 7 mile and 5K participants also receive a long sleeve technical shirt.

For the 12 miler and 7 miler awards are given to the top two in each age group for men and women and the top three finishers overall also by gender. For the 5K the top 15 finishers receive an award not by age group.
