Claytor Lake State Park presents their annual Christmas at Claytor on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Water's Edge Meeting Facility.

Celebrate Christmas at Claytor Lake! Make winter crafts, enjoy refreshments, play a few holiday games, or participate in our Gingerbread House Competition.

Santa will be visiting our park for pictures, $5.00 picture fee, and children can write a letter to Santa that we will personally deliver. Santa will also be reading stories at 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:30 pm.

The Polar Express Hayride will be running if the weather is favorable and not too cold!. The hayride is free and will leave the Water's Edge Meeting Facility every half hour starting at 1:30 pm until 5:00 pm.

The Gingerbread House Competition will be ongoing throughout the day, with judging occurring at 5:00 pm. You do not have to be present at 5:00 pm to win.

We will have some supplies available to build a gingerbread house, but we are encouraging you build your gingerbread house at home and bring it in. For rules, entry categories, prizes and more info on the gingerbread contest please visit: http://tinyurl.com/y7brxal3.

There is a daily parking fee per vehicle of $5.00 for Virginia residents and $7.00 for nonresidents. There is no additional event fee other than for those interested in Santa pictures.
