Blacksburg Library presents American Sign Language: Come Sign with Us on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

All cultures, including the Deaf Culture, have four components: language, behavioral norms, values and traditions. The Deaf rely totally on their vision to communicate and gather information. American Sign Language (ASL) is their preferred language.

This workshop will provide attendees with an introduction to Deaf Culture and ASL. Any with hearing loss are welcome to attend. Some basic vocabulary signs will be taught.
