Radford University Planetarium presents the After School Planetarium Show: "The Sky's the Limit - History of Constellations" on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 and Thursday, November 16, 2017 starting at 4:00 pm.

Come join our regular sky tour and then experience the full dome show about constellations. Come see the original 48 constellations, and then the addition of others to fill in the southern sky.

This program discusses how the constellations change with time as our own location in our galaxy changes. This full dome show was produced by Dr. David Wright at Tidewater Community College, and features original music by Mark C. Peterson of Loch Ness Productions.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

The goal of the Afternoon School Planetarium Show is to give K-12 students another fun after-school option. These shows will welcome all attendees of all ages and will take them on various voyages through the night sky, the solar system, and the universe. Each show will be a bit different from the others, depending on the show operator.

The Radford University Planetarium is located in the Center for the Sciences room M75 (Main Street level). Enter through the doors from Parking Lot C.

For Tuesday and Thursday afternoon shows, there are pay parking spots in Parking Lots B or C or you can get a free parking pass at the “parking” window on the main floor of Heth Hall. A campus parking map is available at: http://www.radford.edu/content/parking-transportation/home/information/maps.html.

Note: No food or drink is allowed inside the planetarium.

The planetarium has a maximum of 55 spectators. If the number of visitors reaches the limit of 55, then we will have a sign outside the entry door telling people that we are full and can no longer admit anyone.
