Description:
The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech continues their Learn at Lunch series with "Super Tough Wildflowers" on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

This lecture will be an introduction to wildflowers that Ian Canton - through his experience as a nursery owner, landscape designer, and home gardener - has found to be particularly reliable and tough under the most adverse conditions including; difficult soils, drought, deer, and other hardships.

Ian Canton is the owner and operator of Wood Thrush Native Plant Nursery, which specializes in native plants of the Appalachian region. A focus of the nursery is the introduction of new and rare native plants which are little known or underappreciated in the nursery trade.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

All talks meet at the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion.

The talk is rain or shine. The talk will move indoors if heavy rain or storms.

Parking pass required for our visitor lot. A pass can be picked up at the Pavilion the day of the talk at no cost.
