The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech continues their Learn at Lunch series with "What Can a Green Roof do for You?" on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
"What Can a Green Roof do for You?" will be led by Dr. Elizabeth Grant, Associate Professor, School of Architecture + Design at Virginia Tech.
This presentation will introduce attendees to the components and critical features of vegetated “green” roofs, with a focus on their benefits to both the building owner and society at large. Dr. Elizabeth Grant will share the results of her research on the storm water retention performance of green roofs at the Virginia Tech campus, and discuss how these systems can be implemented at both the residential and commercial scales.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
All talks meet at the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion.
The talk is rain or shine. The talk will move indoors if heavy rain or storms.
Parking pass required for our visitor lot. A pass can be picked up at the Pavilion the day of the talk at no cost.
