The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts continues their 2017/2018 Music on Mondays concert series with a Faculty Recital on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Squires Recital Salon.
Horn player Wallace Easter and pianist Jay Crone perform a faculty recital.
In 1981, Wallace Easter joined the faculty of the Department of Music at Virginia Tech, and the Roanoke Symphony as principal horn. He began his professional performing career with the United States Marine Band, “The President's Own” in Washington, D.C.
Jay Crone joined the Virginia Tech faculty in 1994. He has performed with many symphony orchestras and bands throughout the United States, including the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently the Principal Trombone of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Opera Roanoke, and the Wintergreen Festival Orchestra.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
