The National Weather Service of Blacksburg presents a SKkywarn Spotter Training on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Giles County Administration Building.

The Training covers:
• Role of the Skywarn Spotter
• Safety and specifics spotting scenarios
• Criteria for reporting events
• How to identify visual features to report

Anyone who completes this online course, passes the associated quiz with a score of 70% or better, and watches a video provided by the National Weather Service in Blacksburg will become an officially trained SKYWARNTM spotter.

Admission is free and no pre-registration is required.

Giles County Administration Building is located at 315 North Main Street in Pearisburg, VA.
