Description:
Starlite Drive-In Theatre presents Flashback Thursday featuring one showing of the 1968 classic science fiction film "2001: A Space Odyssey" on Thursday, April 19, 2018 starting at dusk.

"2001" is a story of evolution. Sometime in the distant past, someone or something nudged evolution by placing a monolith on Earth (presumably elsewhere throughout the universe as well). Evolution then enabled humankind to reach the moon's surface, where yet another monolith is found, one that signals the monolith placers that humankind has evolved that far. Now a race begins between computers (HAL) and human (Bowman) to reach the monolith placers. The winner will achieve the next step in evolution, whatever that may be.

The 1968 film is rated G and the run time is 149 minutes.

Admission is $10.00 per vehicle. There is no individual admission charge for passengers inside the vehicle.

Gates open at 7:00 pm. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early due to lines and to be able to purchase food at the snack bar before the movie starts.

The last three rows are reserved for trucks and SUVs. Open hatchbacks ONLY in last row. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!
