Description:
The Havester Performance Center presents The Highland Travelers in concert as part of the 2018 Mountains of Music Homecoming on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
The Highland Travelers are a bluegrass band whose members are based in Tennessee and Virginia. The Highland Travelers have just started a promising partnership – promising because they are the fusion of former members of two of the most respected bands in bluegrass – The Boxcars and Rambler’s Choice (Junior Sisk’s bandmates). This new ensemble of bluegrass veterans includes Adam Steffey (mandolin), Keith Garrett (guitar), Jason Davis (banjo), Kameron Keller (bass), and Gary Hultman (dobro).
Their stated mission should delight bluegrass fans, "stay true to our traditional grass roots while creating new, original songs, as well as putting our stamp on our classic favorites".
