The New River Valley Historic Dance Society (NRVHDS) presents a Colonial and Victorian Dance Workshop on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Sapphire Ballroom & Dance Center.
Social dancing in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries was an integral part of English and Colonial American society, bring together neighborhoods, families, and communities.
Join the English Country Dancers of the New River Valley Historic Dance Society as we travel back in time to learn these enchanting dances of a bygone era. Social dancing in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries was an integral part of English and Colonial American society, bringing together neighborhoods, families, and communities.
Beginners, groups, singles, and families are always welcome. Every dance will be taught by being broken down into simple components and cued while dancing. If you can walk, you can dance, and we'd love to have you dance with us.
No experience or partner necessary. Casual attire appropriate. Children welcome.
NRVHDS meets on the Second Tuesday of the month at Sapphire Ballroom in Christiansburg, VA.
