The Montgomery County Public Schools Special Education Department and Parent Resource Center presents a free workshop titled "Understanding ADHD" on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Montgomery County School Board Office.
This workshop provides a general overview of ADHD – describing what ADHD is, the common myths associated with the diagnosis, an overview of the criteria for diagnosing ADHD presented by Dr. Susan Semanic, School Psychologist.
Attendees will learn what the different terms mean and what it can look like living with a child who has ADHD. Participants will also learn what type of behaviors may be seen at home and at school and some strategies for supporting parents and children.
This is a free workshop for parents, caregivers, educators, service providers and community members.
This workshop will accommodate all grade levels (2-18).
