Description:
The Floyd County Humane Society invites all to their 10th annual Paws Cause fundraising dinner and auction on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 6:00–10:00 pm at the Floyd EcoVillage Celebration Hall.
The Paws Cause event gives everyone the opportunity to help the Humane Society while enjoying a fabulous evening of fun. Come enjoy an evening filled with music and the entertainment of a silent auction. There will be a live auction, this year as well. This year’s theme is “A Night in Venice”.
Dinner will include a variety of savory foods and delightful desserts, along with a cash bar stocked with wine, beer, and hard cider. You will not be disappointed with the many auction items that have been donated by so many local artists, craftspeople, and supporters of the Floyd County Humane Society.
Tickets are $30.00 in advance and $35.00 at the door (if space is available).

The Floyd County Humane Society is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats in the Floyd community. During 2017 alone, the Humane Society found “forever” homes for 169 dogs and cats, provided spay and neuter assistance for over 400 dogs and cats, including 200 feral cats, and helped 196 pets get vaccinated against the deadly rabies virus.
Through the efforts of our volunteers, we have reduced the number of unwanted pets at the county pound from more than 1,000 in 2005 to under 170 dogs in 2017. In addition, the Humane Society, in partnership with Plenty!, helped arrange for more than 6 tons of pet food to be donated to needy Floyd County families.
