Little Leapers hosts Open Auditions for their 2018 production of The Nutcracker on Saturday, September 8, 2018 and Sunday, September 9, 2018.

It’s almost that time of year, when Sugarplums starting dancing in folks' heads. This year, Little Leapers are preparing for their 7th anniversary production of "The Nutcracker" on December 16th at the Moss Arts Center. This will be our fourth year at the Moss Arts Center with near sold out performances!

Our Nutcracker is a huge event and makes for wonderful memories and includes over 200 local dancers, a flying mouse queen and pyrotechnics, in addition to our children's choir and 46-seat live orchestra. Our productions have always been community based, and all those who audition will receive a role!

Anyone interested in participating must audition. If you need a make up audition, please let us know prior to September 8th.

We have roles for all ages and levels in ballet, ballroom and tumbling.

Saturday Audition Schedule:
• 12:30 PM - Level 3 (or age 9+)
• 1:30 PM - Level 4 (or age 12+)
• 2:30 PM - Level 5 + Advanced Teen-Adult Dancers
• 3:30 PM - Adult Intermediate Ballet Dancers
• 4:30 PM - Adult Ballroom Dancers
• 5:00 PM - LEAP Company Auditions (Must be level 3 & up, please call or email for more information)

Note: Arrive a few minutes early if you have have not pre-registered.

Those auditioning are asked to fill out the Nutcraker Audition Form available online at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeOfRC-11ESARmO8nb2bL4znibFOrzLj17iQ21GeMImsxyK1A/viewform.

Rehearsals will be held every Sunday, starting the week after auditions. Rehearsals typically start at 1:00 pm, each role rehearses between 30-60 mins depending on the role. A maximum of two excused absences are allowed. This is to ensure your dancer and their peers feel properly comfortable and prepared for their performance.

Your child must be available to perform on Saturday, December 15th both a 12:00/1:00 pm and 6:00 pm show. Ages 6 and under are allowed to pick one of two performances.
