Cornerstone Church in Narrows, VA presents the 2nd Annual Exercise Your Faith 5K Run / Walk on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

• 8:30-9:30 am: Race Day Registration
• 10:00 am: Race begins

In today’s world, cancer is not only one of the leading causes of death to adults, but also children. In an effort to raise money for the wonderful charity Cancer Kids and Christmas, we at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows, Virginia hold an annual Exercise Your Faith 5K Run/Walk.

The 5K route will be throughout the Town of Narrows starting and ending at Cornerstone Church. The 5K also features medals to the top three overall finishers as well as age group medals for both males and females, raffles, food and fellowship.

The cost of the race is $30.00 per individual, $20.00 per child and $25.00 per person if you have a group of eight or larger. For race day registration, add $5.00 per registration.

All proceeds from this event goes to Cancer Kids and Christmas, a local charity that raises money for local families each year that have a child or parent actively taking cancer treatments.

Cancer Kids and Christmas is a local organization that has helped more than 60 families who are battling cancer have a better Christmas since 2012 raising over $165,000. 100% of the proceeds and donations are donated to the families each year.

Cancer, Kids, and Christmas was founded in 2012 by Travis Sparks after his own battle with cancer and seeing firsthand the strain it put on his own family. He saw that without the help of family and friends, his immediate family may have felt the financial strains to the point of bankruptcy. That would have meant that there would certainly have been no Christmas that year.

We provide our cancer families with the majority of all monies raised through our events. With zero dollars going to administrative fees, our Board of Directors are all serving (donating their time) with no compensation from the organization.
