Description:
As part of Blacksburg Sustainability Week 2018, the Blacksburg Community Center hosts the Radford Arsenal Community Dialogue on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Blacksburg Recreation Center Community Room.

Hear Lt. Colonel James Scott, Commander of Radford Army Ammunition Plant, and other facility leadership talk about their renewed sustainability efforts–modernization, cooperative testing with Virginia Tech, and facility-wide recycling program. Then hear community perspectives on these, with time for questions.

Instructors of the Appalachain Community Research course at Virginia Tech will also be there to discuss student activities and exchange contact info from community members who want to talk more about the arsenal.

Blacksburg Sustainability Week, a collaboration between Sustainable Blacksburg, the Town of Blacksburg and Virginia Tech is celebrating its 12th year in 2018.
