Alexander Black House & Cultural Center presents a Meet the Artist Reception with Donald Sunshine on Friday, October 5, 2018.

Join us for a reception honoring Donald Sunshine, whose latest exhibit "Paintings of Blacksburg and the New River Valley" features some of Blacksburg's most iconic buildings. Each building is depicted as a sketch, watercolor, and abstract, showcasing the artist's range and providing different perspectives. Additional scenes from the New River Valley are depicted in watercolor.

Donald Sunshine FAIA, Professor Emeritus of Architecture, Virginia Tech, is an award-winning architect, author and artist. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, past president of the Virginia Society American Institute of Architects, and Distinguished Visiting Professor, University of Arizona. In addition to the many buildings he has designed and his seven books, his architecture and art have been widely exhibited.

This reception is part of the Art Walk sponsored by Donald Blacksburg, Inc.
