The BraveHeart 5K Run / Walk and One Mile Fun Run will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Bisset Park and will help to kick off the 22nd Radford Highlanders Festival.

Schedule:
• 9:00-9:45 am - Race Day Registration / Check-In
• 10:00 am - 5K starts
• After 5K Ends: One-Mile Fun Run

Runners in kilts are welcome and encouraged to celebrate the area’s Scots Irish heritage. In addition to overall and age and gender group winners, prizes will be awarded as well to the best dressed male and female runner.

All participants will receive a t-shirt and can participate in the awards ceremony, enjoy free food and beverages and have a chance to win one of the door prizes following the race.

The cost is $25.00 and runners can register online or on race day.

A one-mile fun run will be held immediately following the 5K and is free and open to children and adults of all ages. All participants in the fun run will receive a ribbon.

The 5K and Fun Run course will circle Bisset Park on the footpaths. Results will be posted on http://www.runaboutsports.com.

Proceeds from the event benefit the American Heart Association.

Note: No animals or headphones permitted during the race for safety reasons.
