Description:
SustainFloyd presents Dine for a Cause with Haden Polseno-Hensley of Red Rooster Coffee on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Floyd EcoVillage.
SustainFloyd’s community gathering, Dine for a Cause, will feature Haden Polseno-Hensley, Co-Founder of Red Rooster Coffee Roaster. In the past, SustainFloyd has invited speakers from outside Floyd and as far away as Great Britain. This year, Floyd entrepreneur Haden Polseno-Hensley will discuss his experience in developing a successful 21st century, values-based business enterprise here in his hometown.
Haden Polseno-Hensley’s presentation will be preceded by SustainFloyd’s traditional beans and rice dinner starting at 6:00 pm, a cash bar and an update on the activities of SustainFloyd.
Red Rooster Coffee Roaster has won numerous national awards for its high quality. It is sold in stores and restaurants across several states. Dine for a Cause will have a free coffee tasting, a chance to sample Red Rooster coffees from throughout the world.
Polseno-Hensley will describe how he and his business partner/wife Rose McCutchen chose to pursue a certified organic, fair-trade, environmentally conscious business model. He will share his vision for Red Rooster, and tell how the company balances wholesale accounts, on-line sales, and a bustling café that has a devoted local following. He will discuss the process of buying, roasting, and blending coffees from around the world.
“Dine for a Cause” is always such an inspirational and fun way for our community to come together,” observed SustainFloyd Board Member Woody Crenshaw. “Haden Polseno-Hensley, a former President of SustainFloyd, will share his story of hard work and ethical business decisions. It should be informative and fun.”
The event is free and donations to SustainFloyd will be welcomed.
