The Montgomery Museum & Lewis Miller Art Center presents the Textile Artists of Virginia Artists Reception on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

Join the Montgomery Museum for the opening of a new art exhibition all about quilts with a theme. Meet the artists, enjoy the exhibit and refreshments!

The Textile Artists of Virginia (TAVA) is a group of a fiber artists in Southwest Virginia who meet bimonthly. The theme for this exhibit is "TRANS+" Each artist chose a different word with the prefix "trans", and in some cases made up their own words, and then expressed that word through the elements of their quilt.

The quilts in this exhibit are diverse in style and in theme. Each quilt offers an interesting approach to the "TRANS+" theme while showing incredible artistry and workmanship.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
