On behalf of all the Floyd Veterans, VFW Post #7854 presents the 2018 Floyd Veterans Day Parade in downtown Floyd, VA on Sunday, November 11, 2018.
All are invited to enjoy and watch the festivities. The parade starts at the Mayberry Funeral Home located at 367 South Locust Street and will proceed north on Route 8 then turn right at the stop light and end int he area of Wood Funeral Home along Barberry Road.
There will be two plaques awarded to participants in the parade, the most patriotic and best decorated.
The Floyd County Woman’s Club will be hosting a USO type canteen providing hot coffee and hot cider for all parade participants. They will also have home baked goods such as brownies, cakes, cookies and more.
We are looking forward to having all of you join us in celebrating Veterans Day!
