Description:
Dogtown Roadhouse presents Chris Shepard in concert on Friday, January 11, 2019.
Chris Shepard, currently based in Roanoke, VA, has crossed the country and peppered the East Coast with his kinetic and off-kilter solo acoustic performances. He has shared the stage with Blue Oyster Cult, The Dave Brockie Experience (GWAR), Southern Culture On The Skids and Brain Surgeons NYC.
Combining tight syncopated phrases and hooky riffs that stick to your brain like hot tar with freight train energy and sudden tempo shifts The guitar is like a second voice for Chris and he speaks through it effortlessly, as if he could tell you the entire story without a word.
He has released two critically-acclaimed albums “Sin & Tonic” and “Crosseyed Loaded” under the band moniker, Sierra Dog Romeo and currently performs as both a solo acoustic act and at the helm of Chris Shepard & The Astronaut Love Triangle.
"Chris Shepard's guitar rock, because it can simply be described as guitar rock, sounds like quintessential, American music. Shepard is definitely a great guitarist, and that is the most important thing to know about this release – it has great guitar, the kind of balls-out power chords so many males (and females) are craving nowadays."
