Description:
The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech presents a Kokedama Workshop on Thursday, January 31, 2019.
Join the Hahn Garden as one of our horticulturists, Lisa Lipsey, teaches us the art of kokedama. Kokedama is a form of Japanese gardening that is hundreds of years old and related to bonsai and kusamono planting styles. Koke (meaning moss) and dama (meaning ball) is literally a ball of planting medium, wrapped in moss, where an ornamental plant is grown. These balls can be hung to create a stunning display.
Cost is $30.00 for Friends of the Garden and $40.00 for the general public.
This fee will cover the cost of supplies to make three kokedama.
This workshop is limited to 15 people.
