Description:
The Virginia Tech Union (VTU) presents the 2019 Band Slam on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Haymarket Theater, located within the Squires Student Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.

The Virginia Tech Union is proud to present our annual battle-of-the-bands, Band Slam! After a search for the best bands Virginia Tech has to offer, we narrowed it down to six finalists who will compete for the winning prize, the opening slot on our SoundFest stage.

Band Slam will showcase each of these bands, who will all perform sets of their best work to be judged by both the audience and a panel of celebrity judges.

• Nine Hand Riot
• The Offbrands
• Push Pass
• Robert Shelton and the Turbines
• Speakeasy

Admission is free and all are welcome.

This event is planned and executed by the Alternative Sounds committee of The Virginia Tech Union.
