Description:
The 11th Annual Virginia Tech 3.2 Mile Run in Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 beginning at 9:00 am starting outside War Memorial Hall.

On this day, the Virginia Tech community reflects on the vibrant lives of the 32 students and faculty who were tragically taken from us on April 16, 2007. This community run/walk throughout the campus of Virginia Tech strives to bring fellow Hokies together, to feel the support of the community, and to celebrate the lives of our friends and family members.

The event will begin at 9:00 am with a moment of silence lasting 32 seconds, followed by the start of each of three waves separated by a few minutes.

Runners, walkers and stroller pushers of all levels are welcome. Please note there are no awards and no timing results.

The 3.2 Run is free and open to the public.

There will be a $4.00 charge for the 3.2 Run t-shirt. The small charge is to cover the cost to make the shirt and will ensure that that all participants who want to have a shirt will get one. Participants must register by Friday, April 5, 2019 to receive a shirt.

Note: A small number of shirts will be available for purchase at the event.

Individuals are required to check in for the run either on Friday, April 12th from 4:00-8:00 pm or on Saturday, April 13th from 7:00-8:30 am in basketball gym 125 at War Memorial Gym. Those registered must bring their confirmation email that includes their QR code printed on paper or on an electronic device.

Last year, more than 14,000 individuals participated in the event.
