Description:
The Chinese American Society at Virginia Tech presents Chinabration 2019 titled "Are You Happy?" on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Haymarket Theater located within the Squires Student Center at Virginia Tech.

The purpose of the show is to present and spark interest in Chinese culture among the Virginia Tech community as well as bringing joy to all the audience. "Chinabration 2019: Are you happy?" is a skit trying to define true happiness within the Asian American Culture. Following the journey of four friends in college, as they are going through academic struggles and relationship problems, all four people find their very own happiness.

The goal of this script is trying to echo the Asian struggle of listening to elders instead of pursuing what they really enjoy. In between the scenes, there will be many traditional and modern performances present to the entire Blacksburg community.

Culture Show Backstory:
Sean Wu isn't the person you'd see typically on a night out. Despite being a college student he spends most of his time studying and trying to find an internship for the summer. With his recent shortcomings and mounting pressure from his mother he decides he needs a break by heading out for a night. That night he would meet someone that would forever change the course of college career.

There will be a raffle at intermission and special guest dancers, 15/50 and chaoxic.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Doors open at 3:30 pm and the show begins at 4:00 pm.
