The Starlite Drive-In Theatre presents its 2019 opening weekend with a double feature weekend featuring "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" and "Shazam" on Friday, April 19, 2019 through Sunday, April 21, 2019 with the first showing beginning at dusk each night.

"How To Train Your Dragon" Movie Synopsis:
As Hiccup fulfills his dream of creating a peaceful dragon utopia, Toothless' discovery of an untamed, elusive mate draws the Night Fury away. When danger mounts at home and Hiccup's reign as village chief is tested, both dragon and rider must make impossible decisions to save their kind.

The 2019 Dreamworks animated film is rated PG.

"Shazam" Movie Synopsis:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson's case, by shouting out one word - SHAZAM. - this streetwise fourteen-year-old foster kid can turn into the grown-up superhero Shazam.

The 2019 film is rated PG-13 and stars Zachary Levi, Mark Strong and Asher Angel.

The first movie will begin at dusk and the second showing will immediately follow the first.

Gates open at 7:00 pm. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early due to lines and to be able to purchase food at the snack bar before the movie starts.

The last three rows are reserved for trucks and SUVs. Open hatchbacks ONLY in last row. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

For each night's first show, there is a drive-in sound system or you can turn your radio dial to 90.3 FM to listen to the movie on your vehicle’s stereo system or your personal radio. For the second show, you must use your vehicle's stereo system or personal radio due to the Town of Christiansburg noise ordinance.

Note: Starlite now accepts credit and bank cards.

Films are rain or shine. Dogs are welcome on a leash and guests must clean up after them.
