Claytor Lake State Park presents a Mother's Day Wildflower Walk on Sunday, May 12, 2019.
Brenda Graff, of the Virginia Native Plant Society, will lead a short hike into Claytor Lake State Park to view and discuss the spring wildflowers growing along our trails. Especially visible at this time are Pink Lady Slippers.
The hike will begin at the DGIF Public Boat Ramp off of Bear Drive just before you enter the park.
This is open to all and is a free event.
Bring mom or the whole family for a pleasant day in the park.
Note: The event is free although you will have to pay the normal $7.00 park parking fee for standard passenger vehicles.
